Ripple Effects | Franklin College Alumni Magazine
A group of Tibetan monks visited Franklin College, and I covered their progress on the creation of a sand mandala throughout the week. After the completion of the mandala, the monks destroy the creation in a ceremony and return the sand to the earth. I climbed down into the river to get this shot of a Tibetan monk emptying sand into the river of a Franklin park. It was used for the front cover of the alumni magazine.

Tibetan Monk Visit | Franklin College Office of Marketing & Communications
I covered a weeklong visit of Tibetan monks to the Franklin College campus for the Office of Marketing and Communications. Throughout the week, I was able to document the creation of their art and the relationships they built with the community there. The experience required lots of patience and was incredibly rewarding.

Social Graphics

Social/Blog Graphics Collection | Celadon Trucking
I was the primary content creator for all social media outlets and the blog for Celadon Group, Inc. and all its related subsidiaries. This display contains just a handful of social media and blog content I created. All were displayed with additional text or a blog post and were consistent with company branding or individual campaigns. Our audience favored bold colors and bright images, so I tried to create work that was striking at first glance and easy to understand. Each graphic was optimized to the size and requirements of its individual social outlet.

Infographics + Layouts

Conflicts over social media | Publication Design
In this graphic, I analyzed statistics on which age groups had experienced conflict over social media and arranged the data to show which age group had experienced the most trouble. The contrasting colors of blue and orange express tension and conflict. I also created an interactive version of this graphic, where the percentages in each corner would enlarge when moused over.

Logo

Snapshot: Painters and Photography | Publication Design
I was challenged to create a poster for an art museum using only the given text and no color or other design elements. I had to choose and arrange the most important parts of the exhibition description so they would stand out and slanted the composition for emphasis.

Franklin Interfaith Logos | Franklin College Interfaith
For the interfaith group at Franklin College, I created a logo that emphasized peace and togetherness. The abstract logo is a circle created of shapes that emphasize a circle of people holding hands. This logo was used on various promotional materials, including Frisbees, pins and marketing collateral.
